That's me, when I was 6 or 7 years old. Already dressing up. Are you surprised?
To think, my parents encouraged this! They really must be kicking themselves now. (Actually, they're great about putting up with all of my weird little quirks and hobbies.)
I didn't make this costume for Halloween or anything; I just happened to enjoy tromping around the house and roaring when I was that age. Probably my two biggest heroes growing up were Maleficent from Disney's "Sleeping Beauty" (still is...) and Smaug from the animated version of "The Hobbit". I spent a lot of time trying to look as much like a dragon as I could. And not just dragons; I've always loved dressing up... I looked forward to Halloween all year... even before I started building costumes myself, I knew far in advance what I wanted to be on any given year. My mom usually helped me to construct most of my costumes for Halloween, rather than going out and buying them... and strange little efforts like this bag-dragon got me even more into the art of building costumes myself.
And it's really not too bad, considering it was made by a 7 year old with paper bags and construction paper!
