George Carlin, 5/12/37 - 6/22/08
I wanted to see your act on stage, it was one of those things I would do "someday". You made me laugh so hard that I'm sure it was no longer as healthy as they say laughter is meant to be, so hard my sides ached and I got tears in my eyes. You put the insanity of modern life and the English language into brilliant and simple perspective. You offended thousands, yet you never let that get in the way of the truth.
Your life has ended, but you will be remembered as long as we walking, talking apes manage to hang around.
